Unique Fishing Spots in Fascinating Scenery
Table Rock Lake started forming as the Table Rock Dam was constructed in 1958. The lake surface is around 52,300 surface acres, while the shoreline is around 857 miles long. Most of lake sits in Missouri with a small portion sitting in Arkansas.
Water activities like swimming, water skiing, diving, boat rides and more peak in the Spring and Summer months. The lake is a beautiful sightseeing experience, also harboring many hiking opportunities nearby.
Fishing can be enjoyed here all year long. Table Rock is known as a huge bass fishing hub and hosts bass fishing tournaments every month of the year, ranging from friendly local clubs to high school and collegiate to big money and even professional level competition, but you can also see catfish, crappie, blue gill, and many other species!
Just below Table Rock lies one of the premier trout fishing locations in the United States. Lake Taneycomo holds both Rainbow and Brown Trout in large numbers and large sizes. Bass, crappie and even walleye hide in its cold waters for those who seek a challenge. Below Taneycomo lies Bull Shoals, another fantastic fishery which makes up the White River Chain of Lakes which also includes Beaver in Arkansas.
